In Yellowstone, herds of buffalo are trotting off the snowy mountains, onto the highway.
Experts say it is because they sense impending danger,
a dormant volcano coming to life,
or an earthquake.

Putin does not seem to be leaving Crimea.
My friend posted a picture
of colorful butterflies being released from a jar. The ground was snowy.
Something about releasing fears.
perhaps it means “release the colorful butterflies of fear into a snowy wasteland”

and of course, today, the beginning of spring,
hopes, dreams, openings,
and a forecast of intense snow.

There is no escape from this world.
