For about 10 years, I have had the joy of ending the year with an early performance at the Black Dog. This year will feature a new quartet, with Old and new friends ! David Edminster( tenor saxophone)Eric Coursen, (drums) Steve Faison,( bass and vocals.) I will be playing piano, uttering orations, and facilitating concepts, inventions & transitions. You will hear familiar, and new works, in unusual settings. Bossa nova, swing, ballads, Euro film jazz, Ancient circus music, and more ! I wrote a whole bunch of works this year… I will present some of those, unstandard standards, and what what. Have no fear… though the music may have surprises, it will be lyrical!
